The classic symptom is an over all itchy feeling in the affected area.

Sometimes, especially in diaper or nappy areas, a red thin rash may occur and cause the child severe pain and discomfort.

When a yeast infection occurs in your nailbed or the webs between your toes and fingers, it presents itself as soft red skin that is a bit swollen and for which you will have a constant urge to scratch.

Thrush can manifest itself with a whitish patch on top a red area in the mouth.

Do not try to wipe the white areas away as it may bleed. An oral infection of this kind can make eating and drinking difficult.

In vaginal yeast infections, some women will experience a discharge that ranges from thick and whitish to thin and watery.

Sometimes this is accompanied by an odour and eventually if left untreated, the yeast infection will lead to pain when urinating and also during intercourse.
